I started following the detection course with Minke last year in August with my then 4 month old puppy Sámi. Since then, the weekly classes at K9 Nose have been one of the highlights of my week (and I am quite comfortable saying Sámi’s as well :). Soon, we started participating in the functional obedience classes and recently we took up tracking with Minke as well (which we both really enjoy too!).
Sámi is my first dog and I couldn’t have imagined a better place for training. I was looking for something more in-depth than a regular dog school and, beside the practical training, really wanted to learn more about the “why” behind dog training and behaviour. Minke has not only able to provide all of that, but does so with a lot of humour, fun and creativity; looking at each dog (and handler) as an individual and adapting training goals and plans accordingly.
As a person, Minke is kind, open-minded, honest and respectful. She is a patient and attentive teacher who knows when to push and when to praise, and whose passion for dogs is clearly evident in her teaching.
I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you for everything Minke!
